Licensing your dog gives you peace of mind. A dog licence enables the By-law Enforcement Department to contact you quickly and easily in the event that your dog wanders away from you or your property or is injured on the road.
The Animal Control By-law requires that all dogs over the age of 6 months be licensed. You need to complete a Dog Licence Application to register your dog.
You can register your pet:
- In person at the Town Office
- Email completed for to admin@townofkearney.ca. If you are paying by e-transfer please send payment to payment@townofkearney.ca. Etransfer MUST include, name, property address, what etransfer is for. Ex: “Lifetime Dog Tag Licence” and the security answer must be “Kearney”. If any of the above information is missing, the etransfer will NOT be accepted.
If you have a dog licence and your pet has passed away, you have moved or you no longer have the dog please let us know by emailing Administration so that we can update your dog licence record.
