We are busy stockpiling winter sand in preparation for the snowy season ahead!
To help keep the sand from freezing, we mix in 3% salt. This special blend is commonly known as "pickled sand."
Adding salt helps keep the material loose and workable, making it easier to spread on roads and sidewalks when winter weather arrives, ensuring we are ready when the snow starts flying!
