June is Seniors Month in Ontario, a time to acknowledge and celebrate the seniors who enrich our community here in Kearney through their experience, knowledge, volunteerism, and lifelong contributions! This year’s theme, Ontario Seniors — Let’s Get Moving, highlights the importance of programs and initiatives that support wellness, social engagement, active living, and lifelong learning for seniors and older adults.
The Town of Kearney is proud to recognize Seniors Month and the vital role older adults play in our community. The Kearney Community Centre is a designated Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) where seniors can stay active, build social connections, participate in educational opportunities, and enjoy programs that support healthy, independent living.
Throughout June, we invite residents to join us in celebrating the seniors who help make Kearney a vibrant, caring, and connected community. Below are all the fun and engaging programs for seniors right here in Kearney!
